TORONTO, ON - April 6th, 2020 — ThinkData Works, Inc. (ThinkData), the Toronto-based data access solutions company, has joined the Roche Data Science Coalition. ThinkData will use their massive repository of open and public data to fuel solutions around the ongoing COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic.
Roche is a global pioneer in pharmaceuticals and diagnostics focused on advancing science to improve people’s lives. In keeping with their mission, Roche’s Canadian affiliate have launched the Roche Data Science Coalition to advance the global fight against COVID-19 through the sharing of knowledge and healthcare data to power decisions.
The Roche Data Science Coalition is focused on:
- patient support
- insights into capacity issues
- research enhancement
As a member of this coalition, ThinkData Works will provide access to standardized COVID-19 data from primary sources around the world. Over 4.3 million developers, machine learning engineers, and data scientists will tap into the data for the Uncover hackathon, administered by Kaggle and The White House.
